The choir is based on the Isle of Wight and was formed due to a happy accident in 1967, when following a last minute withdrawl at a local concert a few Newchurch men stepped into the breach and performed a few songs. The choir now has close to 40 members ---
For more details please see the history page.

The choir sings at varied venues on the Isle of Wight, as well as elsewhere in the UK. For an up to date list of concerts see our Concerts page. The number one aim of the choir is the enjoyment of singing, but generally with the end result of raising money for good causes. To request a concert for your charity contact our secretary Sheelah Stephens via e mail. Please be aware though, that we are booked up often a year in advance - the 2017 diary is already getting full.

The chairman of the choir is Rod Riddell, the Musical Director is Roy Bevan, Deputy MD is
Howard Wilkie, all supported by our accompanist Cate Clarke .
To find out more about the organisation of the choir and list of choir members see our
Organisation page.

The choir repetoire is very varied with traditional male voice pieces being sung together with more modern material such as Beatles numbers and even a Rod Stewart song. For a list of songs currently being performed see our Music page.

The choir is always looking for new members. If you would like to join, come to a rehearsal and see if you enjoy it. Rehearsals are most Fridays in the Old Post Office, Newchurch at 7.30 pm. See our Contact page for more details of joining as well as contact numbers for key committee members.

See the links page for links to other choirs we have sung with in the last few years.
